Welcome to Open LDS

Thanks for stopping by- Open LDS is an effort to organize the abundance of good LDS information that is available online. Our purpose is to help you find interesting and useful LDS sites quickly and easily.

Chris Anderson said it well in his new book "Free". He said, "Leave me. Go to this other place. I think you'll like it, and if you do, perhaps you'll think more of me for having recommended it. And if you think more of me, perhaps you'll come back to my site more often."

Please use our site, share it with your friends, and let us know how we can improve it.

Use the feedback form to suggest additional topics or sites you find useful. We have big plans for the future and hope that you'll take a moment to look around.

No Endorsement Implied

The name OpenLDS.com was chosen to denote “open” access to LDS resources on the Internet, including Church and non-Church resources. A link from our site to another site does not mean that we endorse that site and everything it contains. Instead it means that after examining that site, we believe it has useful and valuable content for the online LDS community.

For example, we link to a large number of news and blog sites. We link to them because we expect that the vast majority of the news stories and blog entries are of interest and that they generally hold the Church and our faith in a positive light. Occasionally a negative comment may appear. While that is unfortunate, the other material on the site is still worthwhile.

We look to you to help us sift the wheat from the chaff. If a particular site becomes more negative than positive, please let us know. We will then re-examine the site and if necessary, remove the link to it.

Additional General Conference Talks

When we first launched OpenLDS.com, we included links to General Conference talks from 2005-2008. We have now added the links to the rest of the General Conference talks on www.lds.org so that all of the talks from 1997-2009 are included.
